Eid ul-Adha ('Festival of Sacrifice') is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar. The festival commemorates prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah. Prophet Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, but Allah replaced him with a ram. It was a test to determine prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to Allah.Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha with prayers and large gatherings of family and friends. SKIPS centres celebrated Eid al-Adha on 11th July. The kids were dressed in traditional attires. The teachers narrated the story behind Eid al-Adha and the kids enjoyed exchanging eid greetings.
