The Go Green Campaign 2023-24 commenced on Friday, September 29th across all SKIPS centres. As part of our Go Green initiative, all SKIPS centres set up a vegetable garden. The Samites were involved in all stages of cultivation from sowing seeds, watering the plants and harvesting the produce. The primary objective of this endeavour was to instill in our samites an understanding of the importance of growing healthy food, maintaining a healthy diet and fostering a deeper connection with nature. As part of the Go Green home activity two activities were assigned. The first activity was cultivation of micro greens at home. Many parents enthusiastically involved their kids in this activity providing Samites with an understanding of food origins and healthy eating. The other Go Green home activity was named as “Fun-Trash-Stick” .The main aim of the "Fun-Trash-Stick" activity was to motivate Samites to implement the 5 R's of waste management in their daily life and thereby take care of the environment. All our parents greatly supported the Go Green initiative. Numerous activities were organized in all SKIPS centers as part of the Go Green campaign. Every Friday Samites were engaged in Go Green activities like taking care of the vegetable garden and recycling projects. The Go Green activities played a major role in educating our Samites about waste management, healthy food choices and importance of taking care of the environment.
