The colour of the month for June was green and brown - the colours of nature. Green is a dominant color in nature that represents growth. When we look at nature we see the incredible variety of shades of green expressing renewal and life. Green evokes a feeling of abundance and is associated with refreshment and peace, rest and security. Green helps people feel rested and secure. The color brown is usually perceived as neutral and natural. Because of this, brown is thought to evoke feelings of warmth, security, and earthiness. Brown colour represents emotions related to the natural world and conveys organic, wholesome feelings in general. The colour of the month celebration included craft activities using the green and brown colours. Samites enjoyed the colour songs and activities. Samites were dressed in green and brown attires which added colour and joy to the celebration.
