Father's Day is celebrated to honor the importance that a father plays in the family as a protector. This day is dedicated to all the fathers and father figures who stand as a pillar for their family members.The importance of a father cannot be neglected or ignored at all. He is like a superhero who is always ready to take on everyday troubles for his children. The significance of a father is beyond words as he is the person who works tirelessly to fulfill the requirements of his family. To honour the contribution of all such fathers and fatherly figures and to celebrate the paternal bonding, a special day is observed every year as Father's Day. All Samites celebrated Father’s Day with great vigor and enthusiasm. Various fun activities were organized at all SKIPS centers to make the day memorable. Children enjoyed making cards for their fathers with special messages. The importance of father child bond was discussed by the teachers. Celebrating family bonds strengthens the emotional skills in young children.It was indeed a memorable day for all our Samites. 27th June 2023 EID CELEBRATION Eid ul-Adha also known as thr Festival of Sacrifice is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar. The festival remembers the prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son when God ordered him to. The meaning and significance of sacrifice on Eid-ul-Adha encompass obedience to Allah, trust and faith, gratitude, selflessness, generosity, atonement, unity and the embodiment of important moral values. Through the act of sacrifice, Muslims seek to strengthen their relationship with Allah, demonstrate their devotion and foster a spirit of compassion and empathy towards all members of their community. All SKIPS centres celebrated EID UL ADHA on 27th June. Our Samites and teachers were dressed in traditional attires to celebrate the day of Eid.The story behind Eid was narrated by the teachers. The children enjoyed Eid songs and exchanged Eid wishes. 30th June 2023 COLOUR OF THE MONTH CELEBRATION The colour of the month for June was green and brown - the colours of nature. Green is a dominant color in nature that represents growth. When we look at nature we see the incredible variety of shades of green expressing renewal and life. Green evokes a feeling of abundance and is associated with refreshment and peace, rest and security. Green helps people feel rested and secure. The color brown is usually perceived as neutral and natural. Because of this, brown is thought to evoke feelings of warmth, security, and earthiness. Brown colour represents emotions related to the natural world and conveys organic, wholesome feelings in general. The colour of the month celebration included craft activities using the green and brown colours. Samites enjoyed the colour songs and activities. Samites were dressed in green and brown attires which added colour and joy to the celebration.
