A field trip is a visit to an area outside of the normal classroom where children can try new things, have different experiences, and learn valuable life lessons. Field trips are an amazing source of experiential learning because it allows kids to experience the things they are learning about where it actually happens. Field trips also encourage young children to learn and socialise with peers in a completely different way to within the classroom, and are often the experiences they remember most. Going on a field trip enhances their critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a topic or theme from a different perspective. The third term field trip for Samites was a visit to the modern bread factory. During this visit our Samites got the opportunity to see and understand the process involved in making bread. They were also introduced to different types of bread and other products made in the factory. The visit to the bread factory was indeed a great learning experience for our Samites.
