A child's ability to see the world relies on healthy eyes. By teaching children how to care of their eyes, we can help protect them from injury and ensure their eyes and vision remain healthy in the long run. A child's eyes may be examined soon after they start school. This is called vision screening and it checks for reduced vision in one or both eyes. The aim is to detect any problems early so that treatment can be given if needed. Eye exams for children are very important to ensure that a child's eyes are healthy and have no vision problems that could interfere with school performance and potentially affect the child's safety. Eye screening is critical in the detection of lazy eye or other causes of poor vision. An eye Check up was organized in all SKIPS centres from 8th February to 10th February. Samkids associated with Ahalia foundation and Susrutha eye hospital for conducting the eye check for our Samites.
